lauren + robert | in-home maternity
lauren + robert met on a blind date. as a surprise to the both of them, they immediately hit it off and were later married.
for the past two years, they have struggled with fertility treatments. thankfully, the treatments resulted in a baby boy due in february of 2022. because of this joyful miracle, lauren wanted to capture this special time for her, robert and their son.
lauren found me on a facebook group and reached out to me for an in-home maternity photoshoot. the pure joy and excitement for their baby absolutely radiated from them. in-between the posing, i caught the glimpse of their glowing smiles, bright eyes and loving looks of quiet hope.
we started the shoot at a nearby waterfront and then strolled back to their apartment. we took pictures in the nursery that was waiting to be occupied and the apartment that was in the process of being furnished and baby-proofed. they told me how overwhelming it was to have all of all the changes happening all at once. from covid, to a new house that wasn’t ready, to a baby on the way, and to an apartment that needed furnishing. but above all, they couldn’t have been more grateful for the life-altering human that was soon to join their lives.
our hour and a half together resulted in the visual representation of a quiet reflection of the beautiful life lauren + robert are currently building together.
